I have to say first that i'm only 32 yrs old, but i am such a fan. I was painting my house the other night and i put the "tape" in and i was on my way. you guys are awesome, i couldn't even think of a better word to describe you, except maybe fabulous!!!!!!My boys are 9 and 11 and they love you too. I was fortunate enough to see Orchestra (formely ELO), last night at the Rechter Theatre in Baltimore Md. It has been 25 years since I have seen them live; they are still my favorite. I do miss Jeff Lynn though. Please guys come back again real soon. I didn't know how much I really missed you all.

Jeff, I have been an ELO fan since I was 10 years old. The first song I heard on the school bus was "It's A Living Thing". It really floored me the way the song sounded and the lyrics. It really sadens me to know that you had to cancel your new tour. I do have the dvd of Zoom but it's not like the real thing. Your music has brought me through some tough times. Thanks... DEAR, ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA My name is Jim Glazier, from 4308 42 AVE. #20 Rock MTN.. House Alberta, Canada . And I need the help of someone with great influence over people and the resources to convince people they can protect there property. I am not trying to get a hand out, but perhaps some kind of business venture where we both can make money. I have been interested in vehicle security since 1997. I get sick when I hear of peoples property stolen , damaged , and even lives lost from such a preventable problem as car theft. I have looked at many vehicle security devices and there weakness, and endeavored to build a device that is easy to install and also user friendly, and very difficult to remove. I have built prototypes, and have used one on my vehicle for three years even in big cities, and always felt comfortable that my car would always be there where I parked it. I also installed one on an old truck in an auto wreaker and it took three big men 4min. 56 seconds to remove it, only by braking the floorboard because of too ridged a base. This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. But it will only make a difference if people will use it. Jeff, I'm 57 years old and I'm still missing your type of music. I purchased your latest release, this week, and can hear some of the old ELO cords and harmonies. I bought 2 tickets to see you and ELO back in the late 70's, at a Baltimore/DC arena, but it was cancelled. I think the correct decision was reached in cancelling the tour. Playing a few multi-night gigs at smaller venues with local orchestra's as back up would be much more enjoyable. (FOX Theater, ATL.?) Also at Chastain Park Ampitheater in Atlanta a band can play as loud as they want if they pay the city the extra fee in advance. It's done all the time.

I'm phyched that ELO will be in ATL in October. It's been 25 years since I saw them last at Rupp Arena in Lexington Kentucky in 1976. ELO songs mark years and events in my life. Please help us. My husband and I will be married 27 yrs this Oct. and ELO is scheduled to perform in Nashville Tennessee at the Gaylord Entertainment Center on October 3rd. I contacted the Music center and Ticketmaster and the tickets are not on sale. Since we live in Kentucky and the concert closest to us is in Nashville we will not be able to get tickets until all are gone. Yeah I'm not thrilled with this board either, I'd rather just use an EZ-board, but yes it's the ELO from years ago. I've heard Zoom and I love it, i hope PBS will be pledging with a DVD of the concert for a pledge (they usually do that) I can't wait to see Jeff this summer, and the re-releases of the CD's are just going to be the iceing on the cake,

Ok, here are the details so far. June 2001, Zoom will be released with 13 new tracks. They are all written, produced, and performed by Jeff Lynne. Today, he (or they?) are shooting an episode of "VH1 Storytellers", to be aired I believe in June? And I think in May, they will film a concert to be played in August on PBS during their pledge week. ELO is such a great band and its music will never die out. Would Jeff be willing to rejoin the group to do one last tour? Roger Waters toured the US the past couple of years and really rekindled a great fire. I think ELO would have the same success. Think about it.

Hey Guys, I can't explain to you the effect the band's music, collectively, has had on me. From Jeff 's and Kelly's flip flopping vocals on Out Of The Blue, to the fury of Fire On High, I was impressed and awed by the production and depth of passion. I realize that things are different now and I don't know all of the particulars of the situation. I do, however, own every bit of music ever released by ELO, The Move, and ELO ll. I admire the band for what it was, is , and will become. I used to cry while listening to Concerto For A Rainy Day. Then the clouds would break, Mr.Blue Sky would start, and things were okay. Jeff, I have been and still am a huge fan. I've seen the band in every town you have been while I was in the same town. I was in Chicago several years ago. The day we were leaving, I went to get several sandwiches to eat for my family before we made the trip back to St. Louis. On the way I passed the Confrence Center by O'hare and saw on the marque that the band had played the night before! I almost broke down in tears. I started screaming and hitting the steering wheel. Another chance to see the band, and I missed it. Back in the 70's when I saw you guys at the Ambasador Theatre in St. Louis. I sat in the front row balcony. In between songs I would keep chanting the letters ELO, ELO, ELO. You looked up into the seats and said, "Ya That's Us". I have been and allways will be a fan of the band. So delighted that I found a website devoted to ELO. Your music has always been an inspiration to me and has kept my interest over the years. I recently purchased the double CD Strange Magic and listen to it everyday at work. Of course I am playfully teased by my younger co-workers for listening to 70-80's music, so, each time they tease, I play it loud and proud! Jeff Lynne, the last time I saw ELO was in Denver, Colorado during the Time tour. Back then and now, I can still say that it was the best concert that I have ever been to. Very memorable indeed. In 1976 I heard my first taste of what became the future of my music. ELO 's music had become the rock foundation that would take me away from all my troubles, set me on track when I was off and most important pump up my attitude with positive music. I've been waiting since that day to see the band live and was crushed when they had seemed to stop touring. June 29th 2000, My wife of 16 yrs surprized me with tickets to what will be the night of my life on July 15th at the Raddison Hotel in Sacramento CA. My name is Geoffrey Ricketts and I represent a harp centered rock band from Texas. Yes, I said, "harp centered rock band." We are called Dream Plane. In addition to the folk harp, not harmonica, we feature the usual line up for a rock band; two guitars, bass, drums and vocals as well as flute and violin. Regarding the question of "two computers falling in love"... There is a movie called "Electric Dreams", which featured songs by Jeff Lynne ("Let It Run" and "Video"), Culture Club and Giorgio Moroder. Phil Oakey ( Human League) sang lead vocals on "Together In Electric Dreams", which is also on the soundtrack. The storyline follows a competer geek who falls in love with his neighbor. His computer also falls in love with the same neighbor after some champagne is spilled on the keyboard. Could this be what you are thinking of? Another possibility might be ELO's "2095, Yours Truly", a song from "Time".

i've noticed a wide number of recording artists are remastering and repackaging their albums for cd (examples, beatles, bowie, elton john, billy joel the list is endless) i've yet to see this occur for elo's albums. are their any plans to reissue the albums this way?

ELO, I am a student at Dondero High School, in Royal Oak MI (near detroit) Every year the A cappella choir does a twenty song rock concert in which the choir sings ten songs, and ten "soloists" are voted to sing a song by themselves. This year along with many other years, we are performing a song by ELO. This year we are performing "Livin' Thing." All the music is done live, by students and every song is performed as close as the original recording as possible. I just want to make it a point to you that people still appreciate good music. Although I am not asking you to be any part of this, I think that you would really appreciate what a bunch of high-school kids and one crazy choir director are doing. Its a really good show. If you're interested, I would be happy to send you a recording of our upcoming concert when it is prepared.
